yay today is leap year day. the day that only comes around every four years.

what an adventure today was!

all that we were going to do was get on the train go to naples and have a good time. but there is little truth in that statement.

it started out raining alot this morning, and then it cleared up. but only for a bit.

today was pretty much a solem day. we decided to do everything that we possibly can to observe lent. so today we will be fasting until dinner tonight.

yay! its fat tuesday! which means lots and lots of food. or at least as much as we can fit into our bodies today.

just a typical monday. not much to do when we got back into rome.

so today it was cold again, not much to do today cause just like in rome most everything closes on sunday.

today we decided to go around the city and see what we could find.

there was lots of fun things here and there, and tons of good food everywhere.

so our train ride was a little intresting. when we decided to travel it was in our minds that languages would be different everywhere, but the austrian german is slightly different from the german spoken in germany. none the less, and probablly no need to mention it, but its very difficult to understand, some say, and even more difficult to understand when you don't even know the language.

today we woke up and guess what? it was still raining! yes we know, we know, we have nothing to complain about, but the rain here is just not fun. you get wet, you get cold, you get sick.

we have started picking up the usa today at school and looking at some of the things going on back at home, but mostly the weather around europe.

you know how everyone says that you need a vacation from your vacation? well they are right. jumping back into things was a bit hectic yesterday, and then today was even worse.

well we went to sleep on the train yesterday, and woke up on it today. really we kind of had to, unless we got off while in our sleep.

today we went back downstairs to the restaurant for breakfast, and stole some of the yummy food to have later in the day, or for breakfast tommorow.

well its valentine, the day of love. and we are in Paris, the city of love, so what else do you do in the city of love other than go to the eiffel tower and kiss under it? not to much else.

so paris is beautiful. it is a little cold considering wher ewe just came from where its much warmer. but none the less it didn't change the beauty of the city, just how long we could stay out.

today is the day, the first day of traveling in Europe!

it laundry day again, and this time there really isn't all that much to do, so leanne went to the laundromat by herself, while mike went up to the school to update the site, get some information about some programming stuff, and see how many people had been to the site.

today not alot of stuff went on. it was a fairly class heavy day. we had our arts and monuments class this morning. from there we went up to a piazza by school, and ate our lunch that we made, and then went to italian.

today we woke up and ran to the capitoline hill. it was a good run, a good distnace and a great hill to run up. when we got to the top of it, we were quite winded, so we walked a ways before running home.

sundays are typically a quiet day in rome. you know the whole its a catholic city and so everything is pretty much closed. or at least thats what its like in the morning.

today was very quiet. we didn't really do anything. we went up to the school to try and book rooms for our other weekend trips, and did some homework.

off to Bologna we go!

because we couldn't get a hotel in Florence, and the tickets were already boughten, we decided to just go to Bologna for the day. Just walk around see some cool things, and then come home.

so today we went running this morning. no marathon yet, just up to tiber island, and then back.

today was just a good day. nothing to exciting, nothing to hectic or crazy.

the city of rome is built on what according to roman legend are the seven holy hills.

so we had to be up this morning at 6:00 am so that we could get to the police station on time for our appointment for the permisso di soggiorno...

its the big day, superbowl sunday, the biggest and grandest spectical in american sports!
