but according to history and just looking at maps of ancient rome, you see that there are way more that seven hills that rome is built on.
this bit of information aside, we were visiting on of the main hills of roman culture, both past and present, the capitoline hill. we walked through the capitoline museums to see examples of roman sculpture and art. there was alot of interesting things. the sad part of this museum though is that most of the things in it came from collections of people that during ancient rome and the renissance had just wanted to have art in their homes, so the origins, location, and historical/cultural context is lost in some cases. from there we came home and made a quick lunch, and then were of to italian. and as everything here we learned alot in italian today. it's still all sinking in and we aren't to sure as to when we'll get it all, but thats all that we can do.
