it's pouring! thats pretty much what the whole day was. just lots and lots of rain.

after not having gone to our art history class last week, we decided that it would be good to go and learn something.

today we stayed home for most of the morning. leanne organized some things around the apartment and our photos from venice. while mike slept.

we slept well and woke up very rested.

we ate the provided breakfast that was in our room. it was just some toast, coffee and tea.

we woke up early!, and then we walked in the cold to the bus stop, and waited in the cold for the bus, took it up to the train station, and then got onto the train to venice.

again a pretty much nothing day again.

mike slept in (again), and then we just kinda lingered around the apartment until it was time to go to school for leannes classes.

well today we didn't really do anything at all.

what a day, abosolutly no classes, and nothing else to do. mike finished up the friends site and then we just kinda sat and did nothing.

well not much going on today.

we decided not to go to art history this morning, cause it was the colosseum, which we already know about. and it was kinda cold and we didn't really want to be outside.

so today we still didn't have hot water.

as a recap, or maybe as a first, we didn't have hot water when we came home from florence.

how happy we are to be back in rome. back at the apartment.

yes, yes, a few days ago you read about how happy we were to get away from everything and just be somewhere else, but it always feels good to be back home. (as much as we can call this home)

well we told ourselves that we would need two days to see everything in florence, and to enjoy it all, but really we didn't.

today we are headed off to tuscany. unfourtunately for all of you who have seen the movie, it wasn't as gorgeous as that.

and it came to pass that there was no class in the morning, and thus mike and leanne ventured off to pompeii, to see the ruins of a once great city.

what a wonderful day today will be.

its st. patricks day, we're in rome, and we have nothing to do today.

well really thats not true, but nothing to pressing to do today that can't be gotten done and then take the rest of the day to relax.

today we were meeting agian at the arch of titus. leanne thinks that it should just be our classroom cause we have met there so often.

today in 44 BC, Julius Ceaser was assasinated not far from where we live.

that wondeful piece of information aside. today was the day that leanne had those two horrible, horrible exams.

really today was a nothing day again.

we had our morning feast of johnny ce ces again. today we had our friend chrsity over cause she had spent the night.

today was amazing!

blue sky, no clouds, lots of sun! it was great. we just hung out in rome and took in the beautiful weather. we meet up with our friend christy and her friend patrick and went to this really really nice (and a bit expensive) place for lunch in campo.

well today was the end of the offical midterms week here.

but leanne is taking this time now to prepare what she calls hell. (its really the two hardest midterms that she has ever taken in her life)

today is it. another day full of exams.

mike had two of them today. history of art, and italian.

you know how in those movies when the bad guy catches the good guy while he's trying to break into the bad guys place and either rescue someone or do something all heroic and stuff, but then he gets caught and the bad guy either makes him wait until he tortures him, or tortures him really really slowly?

AHHH! whats going on? i don't remember the whole your supposed to have test and be in school thing was actually for real!

so no matter how much you do on a day to try and get ahead, you never really catch up.

today was really a nothing day.

we took today to recuparate from the sight seeing with the davis's, and from running around with them. its very tireing trying to do all that we have done in two months time into 4 days.

today we slept in a little, and let the davis's sleep in a little, and we met up with them at the hotel.

no school today, so we are meeting up with the davis's at the colosseum metro stop.

mike met them there, and brought them back to the apartment, and from there we were off.

today mike had his midterm review for his other history of art class, and it was completely pointless.

today the davis family arrives to rome. this of course means that we have to go pick them up from the airport, and that will be fun.

for arts and monuments class today we met again at the forum. more specifically the arch of titus.

this made mike a little sad. not because he had learned about it already, but because he is boycotting arches.

today was great! we woke to a wet, wet city. and sat in bed for a bit just talking about what we needed to do this week. then we went to the gym and ran for about an hour.
